Families
MED at Bridge Creek is a Title 1 School
The purpose of Title I, Part A of Public Law 107-110 is to enable schools to provide opportunities for children to acquire the knowledge and skills contained in the challenging state content standards and to meet the challenging state performance standards developed for all children.
What does this mean?
We receive funding to provide resources and additional opportunities for our students.
How are we using the funds?
We are using the funds to provide manipulatives and resources for grade levels including the purchase of supplemental online subscriptions. We are also using the funds for a Certified Teacher in our Medical Lab.
Highly Qualified Teachers
All of our teachers are highly qualified to teach. For questions regarding the qualifications for your child’s teacher or the Title 1 process, please contact Mr. Taurean Robinson at trobinson@richland2.org.
Title 1 Monthly Meetings
We meet at 6:30 pm on the first Thursday of each month (before our PTO meeting) with a parent focus group to give Title 1 updates and seek parental feedback. You are encouraged to join us! Please let us know if you are interested in serving on our Title 1 committee at trobinson@richland2.org.
Feedback
We appreciate your feedback. Please share your thoughts on how we can best use our Title 1 funding at trobinson@richland2.org. All feedback will be shared with our Title 1 committee. The committee will review and discuss the feedback at the monthly meetings. A member of the Title 1 committee will respond to the feedback after the monthly meeting.
